A set of tables graduated in size so that one fits beneath the other.
I mixed these paint colors myself. The larger one is a little more blue and the smaller one is a little more green. I love both these colors and hope I can recreate them again for the drawers on my next dresser.
Once again, I had a little help with these!

Thanks for visiting my site, please leave me a comment! :)

I have a love/hate relationship with Goodwill. Sometimes I find a really rare find and am excited with my purchase....other times I leave disgusted with the prices. I bought this dresser, and even though I really like it, know I paid too much. Plus, it is not in perfect condition and needs some work. So, I have decided to say farewell to Goodwill and save my money for better deals. I have several projects in the works, can't wait to finish something and show it off. This dresser isn't at the top of my list right now but hopefully will get some inspiration and get excited to tackle it.

Hi! Hopefully everyone is having a good week so far, happy hump day! :) My kitchen island project is complete. (Still not waxed but will get to that soon.) I originally planned to paint the bottom all white but when I started painting I felt like it was lacking personality....plus I needed an excuse to buy paint. Luckily, my Annie Sloan provider, The Weathered Cottage, is just a short drive away to Cedar Park. The hardest part was choosing the perfect color. I went back and forth between Provence (a shade of blue)and Florence (a shade of green). When I couldn't decide,I did what any professional designer would do....let my 4 year old choose! His favorite color is green, so I walked away with Florence.
Here is the before picture.
Here is a middle of the road pict.
And the finished product. I am very happy with the outcome. Maybe I should leave all my decision making to my little man. ;)

Thanks to everyone who has been keeping up with my blog. I'm proud to say most of my furniture I've posted on here has sold. Last week I sold the vintage peacock table, curbside dresser, beachy dresser, and the white distressed night stand. All of my customers have been very pleased so far. Keep me in mind when you're in the market for a unique piece of furniture....I'll post some pictures of this kitchen island when it's finished. I'm thinking about staining the whole piece super dark and then painting and distressing the bottom. Annie Sloan Old White again?

I saw this bad boy at a garage sale for $5.....I talked them down to $4! He he. :) Have I mentioned that I love garage sales? Anyways, I painted with Annie Sloan Old White and then distressed with my sander. I plan on waxing but haven't yet.
Here's a before picture.
The top was pretty scratched up but hey....it was only 4 bucks!
And here it is next to the dresser I finished the other day. Thanks for visiting my sight....and remember everything is for sale if you know anyone looking for furniture. :)

I finally broke down and splurged on some Annie Sloan chalk paint. This side table was transformed from plain wood to a shabby chic masterpiece. (Tooting my own horn there!) I used Old White for the main color and Duck Egg for the details. Distressed with my electric sander and topped with furniture wax for extra protection.
I had a little help....

Today I was having junk withdrawals so searched Craigslist for a good sale. The thing with Craigslist is you never really know what to expect....the ad had some pictures and said they had a dresser for a very reasonable price. When I got there I looked at the dresser in the driveway. It was huge and well, no way was the price in the ad. The guy said it was 100 bucks....then he suddenly remembered the dresser in the garage. I was super happy with the price and the piece. It had no hardware but luckily I have a drawer full. Score! Threw on some paint, hardware, and distressed it a bit. Love how it turned out, kind of a beachy feel. I heart the beach!

Check out this beauty! She's an oldie but a goodie. I'm trying to decide whether or not to paint.....the top cover has been replaced with a newer piece of wood so definitely needs that part fixed up. I saw a similar sewing desk on Pinterest that had been painted shabby chic. What to do, what to do?

I love garage sales! I found this cute little vintage side table last weekend at a garage sale and it was love at first sight. Lightweight, great style, and left space in my car for more junk....I mean treasures. :)
See, it was cute to start with but it had these worn spots that wouldn't even cover with paint. That's when I grabbed my handy dandy mod podge and stuck on the peacock feathers. So, just a fun, quick little project and it's ready to sell. Think I could make a quick $20. :)

Here is the after picture of my curbside dresser. In case you missed the last post, I'll show you some before pictures.
And a close up of the top: pretty scary!
And now time to post on Craigslist and wait for a buyer. Posting for $130 but always willing to bargain. Thanks for looking! Please leave me a comment. :)
