This is a dresser that I picked up from someone's curb. Imagine that, someone getting rid of a perfectly good dresser! Ok....so it was not in the best shape. But nothing a little sanding, primer, paint, new hardware and new top couldn't fix.
As you can see, my front porch has been transformed to a workshop. I still have some work to do...add hardware, and paint the top but it's coming along nicely. What do you think?
I will post pictures of the finished product tomorrow. :)

Hi everyone, and welcome to my blog! I'm excited to share some of my recent furniture make-overs and hope you enjoy them as much as I do. I'm new to blogging so any advice or feedback is appreciated. The piece I just finished is a wood, vintage dresser with a rounded front. It turned out beautiful....in my opinion. Here are the steps I took to bring this piece back to life....

1. I found the dresser @ Goodwill for an amazing price....it was raw wood, a little chipped but had potential.

2. Added wood putty to damaged areas and let dry.

3. Sanded until smooth

4. Added some black paint to my white primer...(Don't love white showing through)

5. Used a roller to paint on primer- let dry.

6. Used roller again to paint on black paint- let dry

7. Drilled holes in drawers and screwed on hardware. (Great garage sale find)

8. Wallah! Done.

7.
SOLD! Yea! :)

Hello again! Thanks for visiting my site. As you can see it is a work in progress. Anyways, wanted to post a picture of this vintage gem that I refurbished. It was a wood vanity from around the 1920s-40s....on wooden casters and 4 drawers. This piece was looking for a new purpose so I have made it into a cute little seating bench. Painted black and gray so can go with any decor. Perfect for an entry way, front porch or foot of a bed. Thought a cushion or throw pillows would add some extra texture and charm. I am selling this piece for $100....local and cash only. Contact me @ 512-809-6977 for more info. Thanks, Megan.
