When I bought this vanity set it was love at first sight.....well, I saw the potential for love anyway. The desk was an olive green color which was ok, but the top was pretty scraped up. The chair was stained brown which was ok, but didn't match the desk. Clearly, these two pieces are meant to go together. Check out those curves!

Annie Sloan Old White to the rescue again! The accents are done in Sherwin Williams Cloudless. That's one of my favorite shades of blue. After a couple coats of paint I sanded the top of the desk and chair with my electric sander and the legs with a sanding block. Then, to finish her off, I topped with SC Johnson paste wax and wiped clean with a cheese cloth.

I must admit, this is one of my favorite pieces so far. I'm in love! But, I will be happy when she finds someone who adores her and finds her a new loving home. :)

Black Friday and Cyber Monday can't compete with my prices! This black, distressed plant stand or side table is only $20.

This rustic step stool is only $15!

Wood valet stand, $25.

Red wood and metal school desk, $25.

Antique chair, $20.

White distressed accent table, $45.

Text me for availability @ 512-809-6977. Also, if there's anything specific you are looking for, I just might have it!

Here is the dinette set I just finished. The table is a drop-leaf so can be round or the leaves dropped and be rectangular. I once again used Annie Sloan chalk paint in Old White. I just love that color! I distressed the table and chairs and finished with a clear, soft wax. Here are some pictures before and during the make-over:

The table was a light colored wood and the chairs were blue.

Here she is taken apart on my front porch.

Here she is painted without the leaves.

And voila! Finished!

Here she is in her new home!

Thanks again Cindy, enjoy!

Hi there, I'm still alive! Life has been crazy busy so I've been slacking on the blog posts. I want to paint, I really do.....but the weather has been nice so I've been spending my free time outdoors being active. I have this cute, bean shaped desk with chair that needs painted. It would make a cute vanity, just doesn't have a mirror or any storage space. I have a dinette set custom order in the works as well....Today would be a good day to work on that except it's now storming. I've been selling a lot of pieces unfinished but I love giving them a new look first.

This coffee table is pretty cool. It was handmade in the 50s and has a built in magazine holder. Never seen that before.

I also have a couple nightstands that need fixed up.

This sofa table is wood and glass....will probably sell as is.

I really need a website that I can post all my available inventory and prices....one of these days! Anyways, I'm going to try and get something accomplished today, even though my son is home sick. Happy Movember everyone.

Green smoothie and green water. I know what you're thinking.....ewww, that's disgusting! Right? Well, it's actually quite delicious. And nutritious! I've been focusing on getting in better health lately and well, I'm a little obsessed. The reason is because I feel amazing, have a ton of energy, and I am craving healthy food. I also have been caffeine free for a week and haven't missed it one bit. I went to see the green smoothie girl when she was in Austin a couple weekends ago and have been drinking them every day. I change it up so each one is new and exciting! I have been giving them to my 5 year old son before school and he loves them. His are spinach, kale, and a mixture of fruit....usually strawberries, bananas, and raspberries.(Shh...he doesn't know they have spinach and kale. He-he.) This morning he said, "this isn't good for you but it sure is yummy." I explained that things can be good for you and taste good too. Oh, the green water is just some chlorophyll drops I add for an extra bonus. My point in writing this post is to get all my friends and family excited about getting healthy and join me in this journey. I've also cut out gluten and dairy from my diet. It's not as hard as it sounds and here are some Picts of the delicious food I've been eating.

Oh, and here is the hot pink breakfast smoothie. I googled the recipe and it is tasty....try it!

If you are interested in joining me, RSVP for this workshop. It's free and you get a free dinner. Contact me if you want more info.

Anyways, I will continue with my furniture posts but just wanted to let everyone know how important the food we consume is....stay healthy my friends!

Hey, I broke away from the white paint for a minute and created this black beauty! It is a small, 3 drawer dresser. (Approx. 29" x 17" x 30" tall) This also could make a cool tv stand....shabby chic or rustic. I like this piece because its not too girly. Do you want to see some before pictures? Of course you do!

And here's a top angle to show it definitely needed some lovin.

I also bought a larger dresser that matches this one. It doesn't have any drawer pulls so looks like I have to go shopping. I'm not thinking black for it......maybe 2 toned. Or maybe white. It will be a surprise!

Here is the shabby chic dresser I mentioned in my last post that I was finishing up. It has already sold, woo hoo! I love painting colorful creations but it seems like black or white furniture is in higher demand. I hope everyone is enjoying their Friday night. I spent mine with my family watching my nephew's football game. Go Rouse Raiders!

Remember to contact me if you need some furniture or me to custom paint a piece for you! I'll do my best to get what you're looking for. Oh, by the way....remember the post about thou shall Craigslist? Well, I won a $20 gift card. Kerby queso here I come. Yum yum!

Auqua drawers? Yes, please! This dresser just got a make-over by yours truly. Not too shabby to start with but definitely needed a little love. Don't we all? Here's a before picture:

The top drawer has a beautiful curve in it that was disguised by the black. I used a dark Expresso brown for the base, Annie Sloan's Provence on the drawers, and drawer pulls from Hobby Lobby.

EXTREME CLOSE UP!

I still need to wax her but she's almost ready to sell. :) I'm working on a white one also that hopefully will be finished tomorrow....I'll post Picts ASAP. Until next time, XOXO.

I know I've been slacking on my blog posts, sorry! I have been hard at work with collecting furniture, cleaning, repairing, pricing, taking pictures, posting ads, ect. If you want to come check out what I have come by on Saturday morning, I will be pulling everything I have to sell out from 8am til about 1. E-mail me for the address @ [email protected]

Isn't this a pretty headboard?

This one would look nice in a cottage style room.

This vintage desk is solid wood. I have a large selection of chairs to go with it....or with anything. Who needs chairs? Speaking of chairs, I have a couple of table and chair sets.....a solid wood dining table with pull out leaf and 4 chairs.

Also have a vintage table with 4 swivel Chromcraft chairs.

There's only 3 in the picture because the other is in my house so my son can spin around on it. He loves those chairs and does NOT want to sell them! Oh, and you can see that cool rocking chair in the background. I would love to paint it but prob won't have time before Saturday.

Here are just some random pictures of more stuff I've collected to sell.

This cool piece opens up to hold records! Sweet!

I have quite a few dressers that I'm working on getting ready....most just need some drawer pulls and a little love.

Check out this vintage tray! It has a chain on the back to hang on a wall. So, there's a sneak peek of my inventory. Whether you're looking for something big or small, I probably have it! Come by Saturday to shop....be there or be square! :)

We survived Monday, woo hoo! The other night my little boy said he wished the week went Saturday, Sunday, Saturday, Sunday, Saturday, Sunday....me too buddy! Anywho, it doesn't so we should make the most of every day, right? Here's a few pictures to help you thru your day....all under $30!

Sweet little aqua coffee table. This used to be in my living room but I needed to move some things around so someone else can enjoy her.

Double Windsor antique chair. I'm not positive it's an antique but it's wood and old.....could use a groovy cushion. :)

Borden's yellow metal milk crate. How cool is that?

This is a wood valet stand. It's to hang a suit on, the shoes go underneath, and has a place to put jewelry, change, or whatever's in your pockets.

A dainty vanity seat with a metal base and wood handles. Very rare. The fabric on cushion can be easily changed to anything your heart desires.

And last but definitely not least a vintage telephone table. Contact me for more info on these pieces or to purchase. Also, I love comments, so please leave me one. Thanks for looking!
